Mr. O’Malley serves as chairman & chief executive officer of Penn Mutual Asset Management. David is responsible for leading the overall strategic direction of the firm and refining the overall investment philosophy. David also serves as president and chief operating officer for The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and has overall responsibility for all of the company’s operating areas, ensuring a seamless experience for both producers and clients.
Since joining the company in 1994, David held several roles including Head of Fixed Income, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer. His extensive knowledge surrounding investments, derivatives and asset-liability management has been instrumental in the design of the company’s hedging and risk management programs.
David also serves as president of the Penn Series Funds, Inc., a proprietary fund complex and as a director on the Board of Managers of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a full service brokerage firm and indirect subsidiary of Penn Mutual. In addition, David is on Drexel University’s President’s Leadership Council and serves as Trustee with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Mr. O'Malley graduated summa cum laude from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics.
